Syncing MPC1k with Cubase SX3 while seq tempo is changing !?

Hello,

I've made an 100bpm instrumental consisting of 25 sequences.
One sequence towards the end of the instrumental is only 70bpm...
The problem is, when I try to record the whole song onto my DAW (cubase).
Cubase as the master sets EVERY sequence to 100bpm, causing the one with 70bpm to play back at 100bpm too. That's way to fast!
What can I do to make sure that my instrumental will get synced to cubase the way it has to?

Please help. I'm in a hurry.

This is basically a Cubase question and as such belongs in the "MPC Studio Environments" forum.

If you try over there, they might just tell you to read the section of the Cubase manual that deals with inserting tempo change events. So if you're in too much of a hurry to read the manual, you might have to scrap the whole project. That's too bad. I'm sorry you're in such a hurry.

are the sequences all a uniform length?
if so (or even if they're not) count out till you get
to the bar where the tempo changes, then create
a tempo track in cubase and automate a tempo
change to 70BPM then back to 100.

if you don't get this, try reading the manual.

Yah, you need to setup Cubase's Tempo Track. Make note of the bar/measure of the sequence that switches to 70bpm on your mpc and change the tempo track of cubase at that bar/measure. That should take care of it!!
