Connecting MIDI Keyboard

Hey i have the axiom 61 and ive had some trouble connecting it to the mpc

when i connect it it works fine although it triggers what the mpc has loaded up in addition to what instruments i am controlling from ableton. nevertheless.. whats the most simple way to set up my axiom 61 keyboard to my mpc so that i can record output from my midi keyboard into the mpc..

you need to research how to set the MIDI channels....

the easiest MIDI setup would be to hook keyboard OUT to mpc IN. simple.

it sounds like maybe you already did, and that you might have the USB hooked to your computer, in which case it might be sending data to both the MPC and LIVE at the same time? channels....

yeah man thats what i have hooked up.. but i cant get the mpc to play sounds from the mpc

here is what i have set up so far


MPC hooked up to AXIOM 61 via midi cable, AXIOM 61 hooked up to COMPUTER via USB

I trigger sounds from ABLETON LIVE 6 which work perfectly although do not enter into the mpc

any ideas bro?
