I just got a fat G4 867 dual processor in the states, new, for under $1,700. I don't know what things are like overseas, but they run specials over here. If you're in school, they'll tack on a $200 discount. I used to go pc but once I got into protools, I went Mac and never looked back.

I´m using a G4 and a G3 Powerbook with Logic Audio, Audiowerk2 Card and MT4 Midi-Interface.
Check out the Apple Store http://www.apple.com for your Country. Apple is selling also "refurbished" Equipment there. "Refurbished Apple Products are pre-owned Apple products that are placed into Apple's stringent Refurbishment Process prior to being offered for Sale." You can make some good deals there and the used Stuff there is comming with one-year warranty. Today they are selling used I-books for $799.00

If you are a student, you get special deals at applestore also.

Peace, Florian
