MPC switches sound when i change sound on CASIO wk-3700

This may have been asked before but i couldn't find answer in search go please bear with me.
I record a beat from my Casio keybord into the MPC1000 on track one as MIDI on channel 1A (MIDI from Keyboard in 1A jack). When I go to record on track 2 as MIDI to channel 1A and I switch my keyboard to a different tone, the MPC plays the recorded track in the new tone, not the original. A MIDI cable goes out of the MPC back into the keyboard.
Can you help me to record different tones to different tracks in the same sequence. FYI, the only setting i change on the keybord is LOCAL to OFF.

What I'm I not doing.

yes:
MIDI in/out jack; 16 channel multi timbral (GM level 1 compatible)

Each Casio program should have a unique midi number.
ie

mpc midi track 1 records casio midi program 1.
mpc midi track 2 records casio midi program 2
mpc midi track 3 records casio midi program 3..

You used the same track 1 for a different sound... Not good...

When you change casio programs you need to first change mpd midi tracks.

Thanks...much...I'll do that...I'll check the manual on setting Casio programs..

Yo, I got the same problem. I have my Korg TR (simple version of a triton) into the MIDI 1A on my 2000xl. I'm also trying to record multiple tracks from the Korg into the MPC but everytime I change to next track on the MPC and I choose a new timbre on my Korg, the first recorded track changes to the new timbre.

How do I multitrack on a Korg and retain all individuakl tracks on the MPC?

Also, I have local control ON in th Korg, but I can only record Korg sounds by hitting the pads, when I activate to record on the MP and I use the keys on my Korg, it doesn't register the notes, but I can hear them while I play them..

Please help, ya'll. Much appreciated.

Each TRITON program should have a unique midi number.
ie

mpc midi track 1 records TRITON midi program 1.
mpc midi track 2 records TRITON midi program 2
mpc midi track 3 records TRITON midi program 3..

Using the same track 1 for a different sound... Not good...

When you change TRITON programs you need to first change mpc midi tracks.

Make sure each TRITON program has a different midi number 1-16

Maybe the mpc has midi filter in effect for something, check the midi filter..
