Haha, my only bad disk was from beer too. Fortunately I backed those up. But still it was enough to make me want to switch to mem card. I'd think those have a better chance against beer, but I'm not going to try it.
But if you seriously got it in the drive, the heads could be compromised meaning it could be getting gunk on every single disk you put in there (which compromises the data). I'd back them up if not already and instead of getting a new zip, get the card reader. If its an internal, its really hard to spill on it
