Haha, my only bad disk was from beer too. Fortunately I backed those up. But still it was enough to make me want to switch to mem card. I'd think those have a better chance against beer, but I'm not going to try it.

But if you seriously got it in the drive, the heads could be compromised meaning it could be getting gunk on every single disk you put in there (which compromises the data). I'd back them up if not already and instead of getting a new zip, get the card reader. If its an internal, its really hard to spill on it :)

Change to mcd, no moving parts to go bad, and don't slam the card in the drive, ever.

just got word i'll have a new scsi on the 28th. then look into get an mcd, how much do mcd's cost? where do you get them? im guess ebays best bet or is this something i can find at best buy or staples

i doubt if you can get the proper drive at a retail store they usually sell USB connected drives. some have bought this drive:

I actually bought mine off of ebay from a seller named DigigearInc. At the time i payed $40.00 total. Search MPC forum, you'll find more than enough info.
