When Opie speaks...people listen

Don't forget to support Nym's pad design and his forum (that no one visits) which supports the JJ OS.

Anyway...this thread was title JJ OS vs Akai..or something like that. Don't get all bent because I choose to stand on Akai's side (you know....that makers of MPCs) while the rest choose to stand with JJ, who has yet to relase a bug free OS

who has yet to relase a bug free OS????

I guess Akai & The JJ's are tied! That makes us all G U I LT Y

I think every product we use in some shape fashion or form, has some type of flaw to it. We are humans (Flawed) making products which are, often times, flawed in one way or another.

The only perfect being is Jesus Cristo! Nuff said! But Enn Why Emm would argue that. :P

BTW- On a side note, I love that song! Edge City was very creative. Good use of samples to supplement your foundation. The Drums are pretty fly too, I bump it every now & then. Good job!

haha putter is observant, he you knows me pretty well

thanks for the feedback though, i think the entire cd is far too dirty and the drums don't groove enough. i used this goddamn noise generator plugin called the "grungalizer" instead of just biting the bullet and sampling stereo noise from records to layer with the beats, that's why there' sthis fake static sound behind 99% of the songs on edge city. i could go on. next release is gonna be better.

From what was said in these forums 10 months ago about how hot the Akai OS is/was?? Naw, they are not tied.

again it must be noted, all the bugs that came out a month after that OS was published, that are yet to even be responded to.

In all reality it doesnt matter who makes a better OS, they are both useful tools. Respect is deserved, by JJ's group, if for nothing other than hardware hacking.
No one EVER releases a bugfree OS, for anything, so thats a pretty flawed judgement. Only opinion based judgements of the features, available to either OS, would provide any kind of real scale.

But this is a great thread for Jahrome to troll, thats his job on the forums.

So what are you going to do...spend the night piggy backing on my comments

No one ever said that these OS will be 100% bug free. That is what I was saying 1 year ago about these latest MPCs....but no. All the ranting about Akai...then a 3rd Party OS surfaces and it has equal and more bugs than the Akai OS

By the way....the OS in the MPC 2000XL and the 3000 and solid. Can't recall any bugs that stop be from using those machines....thus the reason why they are the most used MPCs in/outside the industry. The Akai OS for the MPC 2500..pretty much solid. MTC could be better, but that is about it.

My job in the forums?? Just to play the left field and add some balance. For every fuk Akai thread...I will be there in every fuk JJ thread  Nothing more. Relax and be easy...get back to your 1000..I think I smell it burning...

it has to be said that jj s os 4.15 was already bugfree!!!!
then came a very big plus with the midi grid....and afew probs....
and jj s still on it to fix!!! where is akai today after they released the last os???
poor akai!!!! u know why??? it s industry and all about money!!!
it s easy to juge someone like jj who is workin hard to make it better,
even for U, as u are in a consumer position, unable change anything
but consumin.... go on continue lookin tv..... the reality is that jjs work
is great and a real breakthrough hopn it inspires others to do
similar things.....

100% agreed with modulator.

anyway jahrome your main point if flawed because JJ 4.23C has less bugs than akai 2.10.

about 2.10, do i need to recall you the enveloppe decay bug ? the enveloppe attack bug ? the directory error bug ? the move bug ? these are major bugs, all corrected by JJ, but even after 1 year has past, we got ZERO bug fixes from akai.

and please take not that i am not bashing akai. i am really gratefull to akai for making the mpcs. and i really whish that they sort out their internal problems and become the great company that they used to be. :)
