Anybody know of any places that repair SP-1200s... I've seen several auctions on eBay go cheap as shit on broken SP-12s... I was thinkin about coppin one on the off chance that it was repairable... I mean there's one on there right now for 26 bucks... Even if it isn't repairable so what... I only wasted 26 bucks and then I'd just have a bunch of parts to use for when I finally do cop the real deal...

Anybody have any opinions on this???

there's no way that auction is gonna end that cheap, but go for it. Alot of SP's are hard to fix because they do't make the parts anymore on those... my boy used to swear by one and his broke, he had clients lined up for beats so he bought the mpc2000, he been on the mpc ever since... never turned back.

That actually what I want to do eventually... I want to arrange everything thorugh my MPC and arrange my sample Chops on the MPC, but my drums I wanna do on an SP-12...

Also Prah, I would hardly consider one of the most innovative and widely used and mastered pieces of equipment in hip-hop history garbage...
