i went digging today. checked out the jazz shit and found a fat record. there's a real nice drum break. the record is called Odori by Hiroshima. Any thoughts about Hiroshima?

Yeah, I have that joint by Hiroshima and a few other of their albums. They are kind of too smooth for my taste but you can find them fairly easy and cheap.
They are worth picking up if the price is right i.e. dollar bin. However that is just my opinion.

they definitely are smooth, but from listening to the record through i found a bunch of really nice samples and shit to work with. good for anyone trying to do some nu-jazz, downtempo, or trip hop shit.

yeah they are a bit to new...thats cool tho...
if you do a search on here for Hiroshima you will find many others that have picked up the records i think i got some of there stuff i'm selling .

i think we all do. that's probably why we all go the mpc, with the exception of the people trying to get "hot" and make a lot of dough. i was checking the copyright date, and i picked up a newer album but set it back down for an older one. what dates do you normally look for when you guys dig?

I love the sounds Hiroshima put out. Since you diggin jazz and that sound try Mahavishnu Orchestra too and Whether Report. I gotta charge you any others

NO NO i think your miss understanding what i'm saying....if you listen to this group there music is more instrument based then drum driven at least the copys i have listen to .
dont get me wrong !!! i'm not saying there a bad (meaning not good) group but it just sounds to soft for my taste. kinda music to put you to sleep.you know what i mean?, but as i said i dont know much about them and i only picked af ew albums up to see what they sounded like and it happen to be that they were not my type.
as far as what yr, i only go up to 89 in musician/band music and for house and hiphop up to 95 and an the occasional newer stuff but i realy have to like it.
other then thats everything else is fare game.

Mahavishnu Orchestra. Billy Cobham is in that right? Or am I thinking of someone else? I'm probly hella off. I don't think I've ever seen any of their records.

yeah i have that trak on a compile just didnt realize it yeah it's a dope break indeed. just play on tuesday this week

just recently copped two george duke albums from the mid 70's...."feel" and "the aura will prevail".
