as far as which way to save them...

i usually save the entire memory. that way everything associated with that project is saved in its own folder. the downside of that is that it duplicates all of the samples. so i would suggest picking up a hard drive adapter and hard drive. but with the .seq and .mid files, you can only play them in the mpc. actually the .mid file you could drop into a program because its a midi file.

but if you just want to get that beat to a .wav file, do this...

hit mode + record

change the input from analog to main

hit the record button (f6)

it should say waiting for signal or something like that, hit play on the mpc and let it play as long as you want, then it will be saved as a wav file you can transfer to your computer.

as far as producing at age 15...
i wish i wouldve known thats what i wanted to do. stick with it. you could make a career out of it if you wanted to. your on the right track.

hey thanx cozy, i was looking for that option, but when you've recorded a beat, then it says assign to pad or off. What must i do, to get the beat on the memorycard?

hit mode + load

then change the save type to save entire memory

usually i create a new folder with the name of the project or something i was thinking about when i made it

hit do it

then the project file, programs with samples will be saved. if you have a small card though it will get eaten up quick doing this.

Thanx :D i have a 512 mb memorcard. So then everything will be saved on the memorycard, the samples and the beat? So i just have to export the wave to a editing program or whatever and export it as a mp3, i'm i correct?

No.

MODE + SAVE

then hit "New" on the folder side and name a new folder.

then make sure you hit the right arrow so you are inside the folder and then move the cursor up to save type

Change that to Save Entire Memory like he said ^^^ and hit do it

it will save all files related to that project in that folder.

you want to make sure you create seperate folders for each project so stuff doesn't get mixed up.

if you want to record the beat you can just us the soundcard input on your PC and record it into Acid or Wavelab or whatever recording software you have.

there are plenty of free ones out there as well.

also. read the manual.

It really does explain alot of this in detail. Not to be a smart ass, just trying to save you some time.
