Don't know if this has been brought up before, but couldn't find it. I'm gonna upgrade my memory card, to 1GB. All I can find in the stores are Compact Flash type 1 cards. But I have surfed around, and all the pages say that MPC1000 neds Compact Flash type 2. My friends said that when they bought their memory cards, they just bought random. So my question is; does Compact Flash type 1 work with MPC1000? Has anyone tried it?

I don't know what kinda sketchy web pages you've been reading, but I've never heard that before. The MPC manual states that you can use any type of Compact Flash as long as it is, in fact, Compact Flash. The only difference between type 1 and 2 is thickness, and any drive that will take 2 will take 1 as well -- but hey, don't trust me, see what a reputable CF page has to say:

Thanks, no need to go craaazy. I searched a lot of sites that said type 2, didn't know the difference.

"Memory Card slot: Compact Flash type 2 (up to 2GB)"
