mpc 1000 timestrectch

ok heres the problem iam sampling with the mpc 1000 in the timestretch mode it detetcs the orginal tempo and it says new tempo i want it to play around 90 but once its done processing the change the sample sounds bad like its all strectched out or computerized and advice is appreciated what iam doing wrong any advice is greatly appreciated

yo yo. ya the timestretcher in mpc1000 is good but not meant for long stretches if u wanted to stretch a 120bpm to a 130 then all is good. another thing is that the detect tempo on the mpc1000 is wack, use the deepsound calculator for real great results. also if already know the bpm of the sample and u wanna timestretch with percent lets say u wanna timestretch ur sample 20% make the original sample 100bpm and the new bpm be 120,. this is how u time stretch in percents. but ya check out the deepsound calculator on sample lentgh and detect tempo.. ull be shocked on what ull see.. also i like to add the timestretching method with pitchshifting... hit me up if u wanna learn how to do that, hope i helped heres the link --> http://mp3.deepsound.net/eng/samples_calculs.php

i asked that the first time i got the calculator from this site. and ya if u rip the java code out u got all the math formulas to all them calculators on there.. just print out the page guts and ull see all the formulas.

instead of using time stretch.. change the PITCH of the sample to slow it down.. you'll have to adjust all other samples accordingly - but this is the "Cleanest" way to do big time stretches on the 1k

yep. Time stretching can be done as long as it isn't drastic.
