Hi, my first post. Please help if you can.

I have a used MPC60 that was given to me with the 3.1 version software with a MPC-SCSI upgrade.

The existing zip drive that came with it was bad.

I got another iomega Z100Si model zip drive to put back in it. Its been tested and powers up.

The MPC will not let me format the zip drive nor does it acknowledge that one is connected. Thru the proper steps of setting up the SCSI hard disk.

Error {EE48}

Do I need to format the Zipdrive outside of the MPC?
What steps do I need to take to make this work in the MPC?
I read the manual but to no avail.

Thanks.

Damn, I'm dumb on my information for my post.

My new zip drive I installed into the disk drive spot does not work, through the
steps of formatting a floppy disk or scsi hard disk. The MPC does not recognize it.

Could it be a problem with the zip disk not being a MAC formatted disk?

I had first the same Problems with an external Drive-Combi (Zip and CD-ROM). It was right connected an terminated.

To solve the Problem i had to disconnect the CD-ROM and set term-OFF.

Urs will be not the same problem, perheps it can help by testing different Combinations.
