No, we would not buy an MPC, or anything else on Ebay. why ? : We can't test it. As you know, MPC's can develop plenty of problems if they have not been maintained properly-----------There are a lot of japanese buyers on Ebay. And if you were outbid, it's because they are ready to pay more. They usually quit buying there because they get ripped of (item not as described etc), or because they receive their gear badly packed--------Japanese buyers expect a lot of service and they can't get it there, so they quit-----------I don't think we are pushing prices up by being expensive: people who buy from us are professionals or wealthy individuals who do not want to be bothered by a breakdown during a session. They also like their gear in good cosmetic condition, ready to pay a premium. Examples, as far as MPC's are concerned: BabyFace (nice studio in L.A ...) - Michael Jackson (shipped to Bahrain before the split) - Darren Anderson (ex Underworld) - and plenty of less known guys in the industry-------- The market for less than perfect machines is open to anyone and prices remains stable there.

Interresting and good that u give this point of view of your business. As i had a friend that speaks japanese mailed u about buying stuff from u (analogjapan) IN japan, as he was on his way there, btu then he got a reply that u only do business online. So ok!
I also recall, seing really bad stuff about your deals, (people not getting any gear, and such)
So im glad that u giving us some feedback here, since i think u have a good stock of gear, and i myself have been tempted more than once, scrolling yor pages. But i guess i got frightned off from the bad publicity u had(sorry i cant give any references on where i read this, probably some gear forum?).

My wife is Japanese and we tried to get them on the phone as well..no luck. From what I remember, the MPCs don't all necessarily ship from Japan....

I think this kid is full of shit. I lost about 3 bids on ebay to this ultraman6996, and they were all MPC 3000s. These Clowns single handlely changed the MPC market for the worst. I heard so many horror stories about these cats. I would avoid these cats at all cost.

I dunno if y'all brainwashed me or not...now I don't remember if I bought my MPC3000LE from ultraman6996 or was outbid by him?!?!?! I just remember that username around the time I got my MPC3000LE off ebay...but then again I also got screwed by someone on ebay who never sent me the first LE I won, had to go through paypal to get my money back...won another LE after that...

i got a le from these guys, and i don't have any complains.

Apparently some people do get brainwashed easily. Must B Something in the Water... or some subliminal pattern generated each time you type in mpc-3000.

mmmm I see. So you hear horror stories and you go ahead and believe them without asking any questions. Sounds very much like all this WMD - Saddam- Twin towers- let s go to war now! thing.

We "Clowns" did not change the market in any way: the price of mpc3000s is in fact at its lowest, on ebay at least ...but then with ebay cowboys...you never really know which part of your mpc will need a lot of strong glue to make it look like an mpc.

I don 't want to sound offensive to some people but in the past we had some bad experiences with some foreigners based in japan. Personally I dealt with some people also BASED and it all went very smoothly. Japanese staff here is not used to deal with foreigners and just told me they refused to deal with them anylonger. Finding reliable staff here is very difficult. They put a lot of their time in this business and I respect that. So we decided to deal with foreign visitors "by appointment" only. A bit like going to the dentist, but less painfull.

If you are worried about being screwed by anyone in this biz, just use an escrow service. Paypal is crap: It's all automated, and if you have a problem, good luck having the same guy dealing with you twice. Resolving a problem with paypal can take months.
