I think there's somthing wrong with my 60...

Okay so I sampled this loop, and it plays back fine and everything, but later when I was using it all of the sudden it starts to get this weird dostorted noise with all this crackling and junk. I tried through my headphones and monitors...both have it. And its only during the sample not the drums....please help!!!!

Is it only that sample or everything you now sample?
If you sample other loops do they have the problem as well?

I tried resampling it, and it still did it just as bad.

you sampled it too loud, i know your saying "no", but you did......
just find the record again and sample it, check connects on the back of the 60........
if this doesnt work, your mpc is f u c k e d, sorry

shit actually it didn't really work...what's a good recording level for the 60 I had it at 70 (is that too high?) any other reasons why this could be happening?

mine is set to 49, watch out for many !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'s when you sample. I try to hit just short of the clip indicator.

I'll try setting it lower

What do you guys have the gain switch on? You can sample pretty loud on mid without getting too distorted

It really depends on the output level of what ever is plugged into the MPC, as well as the signal level of the particular sound you are sampling at that time, you can't say it should be one setting or another.

Use the onscreen display to get the sample as loud as possible without hitting the right hand side and clipping the signal.
