Photoshop CS 2 Settings:

1. File -> New.

2. Width: 240;
Height: 64;
Resolution: 300 dpi (don't exactly if its right, but it works great)
Colormode: Bitmap, 1 Bit
Background Contents: white

>> I hope this helps. I also uploaded all the availabe splashcreens to my flickr spot. The link can be found at the brginning of the thread

hmm, I don't know whats wrong, but it always saves the bmp as 8-bit gray. All of the files I have downloaded work great, keep up the good work.

And it is 240 x 64 pixels, not millimeters etc :)

I quess resolution is about 50 ppi (pixels per inch).
Screen of the mpc 1000 is 130 x 35 mm (about 5,12 x 1,38 inches) with 240 x 64 pixels, then divide 240 by 5,12 and 64 by 1,38 = about 50.

Open all pics what needed in photshop and use move tool to drag & drop other pics to bmp template.

Edit - Free transfrom is one way to adjust size of 'layer'.
