It looks to me like it just a regular RCA out connect... How it would interact with a DAT or Sampler... You would have to check the manual of the equipment you're connecting it too... So I'm unsure... maybe give more info. on what you're looking to do... and someone might be able to help...

I just use a thick shielded rca cable from the 'digital out' on the mpc to the 'spdif in' on my mbox2. shows up exactly like 2 analog channels in pro tools. Just means i can use my 2 analog channels for other stuff. haven't tried using the digital in to sample on the mpc yet...
