Okay Do I have to get a Keyboard that already has sounds or can i plug a lil midi keyboard into an Akai MPC and upload the keyboard sounds on to the akai and play them through the keyboard. And then record back on to the mpc lol

the mpc is a midi sequencer/sampler, meaning that there is no tone generator. you can load sounds into the mpc via usb, or zip drive, or cd, or flash card depending on which version you have.

you can use a midi key board to trigger those sounds or play them on the pads.

you can use the midi controller to record an external sound module into the mpc

you can direct record you synth into the mpc

you can play the synth with the mpc

you can play the synth with the midi keyboard and record the midi to the mpc.

i think there are other ways, but you will have to experiment if none of the above is what you are looking for
