http://www.tweakheadz.com/guide.htm <--- a guide to building ure own studio

asking a rhetorical general question won't give u much info. to find out which mpc suits u best you gotta read the different mpcs' manuals.

it all depends on ure needs and ure preferences
are u more of a hands on kind of guy
what type of pads would u feel more confartable on
all kinds of questions
personally i had the same problem u have i got the 2kxl and im lovin it
mpc machines are all great but the one u need depends on what kind of person u are
what i would do is go to any music store that has mpcs and find someoen that knows what they are talkin about
personally reading the manuals aint a bad idea but i feel that if u have a basic knowledge of production and how it works reading the manuals could do u some good
but if u dont know a lot about producing then the best thing to do is go through threads of this forum on each mpc... and if u have more questions... inform ureself.... and if u have questions about any information there are a lot of ppl here willing to help out
but in conclusion
no matter what mpc u get u wil be a happy camper but gettin the right mpc for u is gonna make u enjoy ureself even more as a producer

take care happy hollidays

yea i want one that has those good pads not the ones that the 500 and 1000 have and what about sound

from ive heard sound wise the 2kxl is more grimey gives u a better sound then most mpcs except for the 3000 which is i think a limited edition
guys correct me if im wrong on any of this info but i think im pretty on point

so ya 2kxl FROM WHAT IVE HEARD has a better sound
the reason i say from what ive heard is cuz ive used 1k or 500 but only for a couple of minutes i dont actually own one
i have a 2kxl and sound is amazing
if u want best thing to do is go in the forum that compares these machines
and ull learn a lot
plz ma man try to do ure reasearch in this forum
thats the only way ure gonna learn
try not to depend on others to teach u
u gotta learn on ure own
peace

someone posted something about the pads being better on the 2kxl, better how? more sensitive? the other post said that that the 2kxl had a grimier sound, how so? cant you make any sound dirtier just using the onboard effects?
