PGM/ Program Mode

I was reading the manual trying to figure out a few of the main features of the PGM/Program section. It didnt say a whole lot. From playing around it seems like its a place to create different "sections" for different banks and sounds? Say you filled up banks A,B,C, and D. In whatever your program is called, we'll call it "No.1" would you then create a new program "No.2" and add your sounds there?

On a pgm I accidentally created (its empty) when I Hit WINDOW it brings up a program change , what is MSB, and LSB? I couldnt find this in the manual?

Pretty basic questions (seemingly), hope someone can help!

Ah, Ive got one other issue:
I created a new PGM mode with some test samples. Saved entire memory, restarted and it wasnt there. I had to reset each individual track, it had my PGM name with a question mark.

I think what is happening is you mixing internal sounds (sample in the MPC) with external sounds (midi chs) The LSB MSB stuff is for program changes on external gear... changing the sounds remotely from the MPC instead of selecting them on the gear itself... That way you can save a beat then bring it back without having to reconfig the sounds... New program? do you name it then save it... or did you just leave it as default... when loading choose replace files with same name... (assuming you have no autoload files)

Ah, ok... so I wont be needing that feature for quite sometime. I havent been using Autoload im not sure why... I should switch it back on. Thanks... I think I got it down.

To save the entire memory, you must create a folder to save to.
press mode then pad 3 (save)
hilite To: press window
press F5- name folder and enter
make programs, sequences whatever
mode-save
type: save entire memory
To: (folder you just created)
ta da!
Now when you start fresh tomorrow, load the folder and you're in business
