dusty groove, is the biggest store in chi. good selection, a little pricy but it'll be worth it. ima be heading to dusty tomorrow (and i live right by waukegan too).

www.recordstorereview.com for more chi locations. make sure to call the places before going to them, cuz some of them might've closed.

hyde park records
53rd n dorchester

this has got to be my favorite spot in chicago.

$0.10 45s bin...one of the best dollar selections i've seen in all my years of diggin'

and, if you dont mind being in one of the gayest neighborhoods on the planet, hit up the
Brown Elephant Resale Store
3651 N Halsted St

easy to get to by the red line
get off @ addison, walk east to halsted
(you'll know it, there are rainbow poles everywhere...even by the police station)
make a left once you get to halsted, it'll be on the right-hand side of the street

all records are a dollar, and if you volunteer to help out for a day, you get a 30% discount on whatever you buy.

again, this all depends on if you're homophobic or not. this is the GAYEST neighborhood chicago has to offer. it is also on of the safest neighborhoods in the US (big surprise).

i wish you hit chicago earlier (like friday or sumthin)...you missed waxaddict's store closing sale. all of the records were $2 a piece...everything--even the stuff in the cases on the walls

that's all im sharing for now...have fun diggin!!

peace and blessings
