Sup folks

quick question - is there any way to get the MPC to load 24 bit wav files? I know there are no system updates that allow this. Alot of the recordings I am getting (and sample packs) are in 24 bit (understandably), and I just wanna load em into my MPC so bad and start chopping em up...but I can't!!!

If there is not, does anyone know of a way to batch convert a bunch of WAV samples into a lower format (24 to 16)??? I really wish AKAI would allow the MPC to accept ALL WAV files...

convert it to 16 bit, if you use something thats 16 bit thats a old piece of equiptment and 24bit would not be catered for, I could be wrong, soundforge cubase and logic enable you to downgrade the bitrate.

good luck

Some wave editors have a batch convert feature, where you can convert/process multiple files at once..

goldwave has a nice long demo. i just rendered about a half gig of samples in under a minute. and the demo isnt limited by time. its limited by use. check it out.
