are the samples (.wav files) it comes with directly compatible with the MPC 2500 or do u have to convert?

Yes you have to. Steinberg Wavelab can do that.

NO conversion necesarry. 2500 reads and writes .wav.

Some of the the Battery library is 24bit, which will not work in the 2500 without convertsion to 16bit.

I'd save myself the hassle moving over all those wavs and control Battery from the MPC.

I have heard that people are having a problem with Battery 3 crashing. Anyone had this prob at all?

thats been on my mind all week. I just started using battery 3 the past few days and it seems pretty stable.

Battery 3 has been perfectly stable for me not one crash since I've been trying it out. It's a good piece of software.

There is another thread talking about this issue. Battery 3 has been crashing when you attempt to load an MPC 2500 program. Older MPC programs load fine..but 2500 programs crashes Battery 3 everytime.

Yep. Same thing happens here with 2500 pgms.
