Cubase SX - Check This Out

Okay I am trying move from recording my beatz in Sound Forge, stepping up the game to Cubase SX.

Here is the deal. I am trying to figure out how to get all my devices talking to one another through midi. A Guitar Center long time sales rep. ensure me that I can pull this off but I just don't see it.

Goal: Get MPC 2000XL, 2 Midi Keyboards, REASON, Cubase all working together.

Equipment:
MPC 2000 XL, Yamaha PSR 290, Yamaha Motif 7, Cubase SX, Reason 2.5, Midiman 4X4 Midisport

I want to start tracking my beatz track by track in Cubase. I use the MPC as the Master.

Any insight on how to get everything talking to one another would be greatly appreciated.

* My main focus is the physical connections on what plugs into where.
I got some documentation already on syncing Cubase with the MPC once everything is connected.

All of this is rather simple, and can be easily figured out by reading the manual.

He gots cash, so I'll start him off.

Pick your controller keyboard (motif in this example) plug it's midi out to the MPC's midi in 1. MPC midi out 1 back to the motif. Set MPC soft thru on, and turn local off on your motif so you will only hear it when you have the mpc midi 1A selected.

Motif midi thru to PSR set on different midi channels.

MPC midi in 2 connected to your computer's midi out.

MPC midi out 2 send to your computer

Then send midi clock or whatever from cubase to the MPC, set MPC to external sync.

Rewire reason into cubase.

hook up all your outputs to your mixer then your mixer outs to speakers, if your mixer has subgroups use the sub outs to your soundcard (how many inputs do you have?)

That's one way of doing it, you can try different things from there once it makes sense.

Anybody that know me on this forum should see a lot of my post I often tell the new jacks read the manual or do a search on the forum first.

I had exhausted all my resources including searching google, reading the manuals for all my machines/software, and searching the forum.

So when dude says some stupid shitz like he said, I had to let him have it.

The configuration & hardware / software I am trying to configure not some simple shitz like pluggin up a power cord or some shitz.

I am trying get all this Midi equipment talking to each other correctly.

Negreos don't realize the dummy not the one askin the question, it's the one in the back of the room not opening his mouth.

Funkin right I got piss! And it was my first time to let ah negreo have it on this site. But he had it coming to him.

Not to jump in the middle of ya fued but I had the same question too. Instead of askin someone on this board I tired by myself for trial and error. In a sense i'm like cash. There's to many people on this board who like to talk to sh@t on a simple question. Not everyone as the answer that's why they come here for advice but some people are getting big heads.
