Once you set it up, the synth bass or whatever will be recorded as midi events in the mpc. No need to sample everything. Stereoroid.com has tutorials to hook up keys/modules to the mpc.

ah thanks!
but the midi register only the events, not the sound associated with this events or not??

if you run lines from the output of the rack synth to the ins of the mpc, you can record your synth. you can actually run a midi cable to the mpc and another one to the synth and play the synth thru the mpc. then you would be recording the midi data too. then all you have to do is go to the record screen and record the performance.

ahh....this is new for me....when i have recorded the midi data is automatic the recording of the performance in the record screen? Or i must play the synth with the keyboard?
Sorry but i am confused aaaaaarghghgh :? :?
Thanks!

no its not automatically recording the audio data. you will have to go into the record screen and use that. or i think the audio tracks are able too.

you have to set up instrument lines from the synth to the mpc

and a midi cable from the synth to the mpc

and then go to the record function and set it up there, which is really simple
pretty much press start record and hit play

what will happen is that you will play the synth through the mpc which will record the midi data into the mpc. now you can save that midi pattern and it will be there until you erase it. but if you turn off the synth, there wont be any sounds. so you have to record it and assign it to a pad. if you want me to explain the setup let me know. i will try to find the link that i explained it once before.

Ok thanks Cozy, when arrive the synth i write you my setup.
For me was very important know that i can use the synth with the mpc without problems, i don't wanna produce the beat with the mpc and the bass line with other sequencer like protools, i use this software only for mix.
Sorry for my english eh! ehehe
