i have connected a microkorg to the mpc 1000 like the owner's manual says.i want to use the microkorg as sound module,,,
an exampe:
on track 1 i record on the mpc a pad or an arpeggio from the microkorg (midi channel 1)
on track 2 i make a drum with the samples wich are recorded on a program on the mpc
on track 3 i want to record a bass from the mkorg but when i change the program change also the program of the arpeggio on track 1 ...

question i s why!!?

plese reply me, i've already red both the manual and there's nothing useful for this inconvenient...shit-.-

umm... I'm having the same problems with my XA... does it have a multi timbre function? (able to accept mulitple CHs of MIDI) some work stations (like the Triton,MOTIF, and Fantom has a thing called a squencer) does your Mirco Korg have that? (I know it has nothing to do with your question... I assume your sequencing in the MPC) The reason why I asked is because in the workstations you can make full songs (different sounds on different tracks) Your micro korg may not have mulit timbre functions... I know my MS2000R doesn't... It doesn't have a multi CH sequencer either... Good Luck.

the microkorg/MS2000 series is capable of doing two different tones at once if you create a program in dual mode, just assign both tracks to the same channel and have the korg set to the dual program when sequencing on the MPC, keeping in mind that complex chords are not an option....
