This beat was supposed to be for the battle with me and naVi, me using only FL and him using an mpc but, fvck it.

I only used FL on this joint. I'm still working on it and its still very much a rough draft. I want to add some strings and a couple other touch ups. I only really worked on layering the drums and theres 1 part in the break that I have to chop again. Once again, NOT DONE. Also, I just got my tweeters replaced, so I have to get used to my monitors again, sorry if the mix doesnt sound too well.

oh yeah, I heard the boys in the hood joint 1 day after I made this, I knew such a good sample had to have been used before but I'm glad I didnt hear it while I was making it because I would've gotten discouraged

nice track! i really like the change ups and when more layers jump into the mix(including the scratching).

Although, im not crazy about the drums. the programmings fine, but the sounds tend to sound like cheesy presets. I dunno, im just think the track would benefit from different drums.

overall its well put together.

thats for the feedback, its still a work in progress. I havent put the drums into the piano roll to give um a lil swing and change the velocities also. I think I might change the samples also, I was trying to make it sound like a real drum kit. I didnt use any sounds except for the ones in the sample, I plan on adding stuff from the triton, a lil backround strings and such. I just threw the scratching part in there, its not really me scratching I added it for a lil change and Born erah liked it anyways so i left it, he wants the track .Thanks for the feedback.
