Yeah, Cyrus got a good point. But I gotta say, C...if you fking w/ other producers to 'network', you barkin up the wrong tree. I didn't come to MPC tutor to get famous, only to help some people, and recieve help and maybe some inspiration. But truly, if you know this business at all...even the kindest-hearted person ain't tryin to help you if you are their direct competition, so..networking? I dunno, don't get ur hopes up. But true, it's not right to down you if you wanna go to rocbattle and bump heads, more power to you...and competition breeds greatness, even if the odds are tilted, right?

You are absolutly correct...... I usually wont post this but since you seem to be a level headed person I'll fill you in.... My MAIN purpose for my "NETWORKING" is for exposure... Yes, Other producers (major & unsigned) may not help you fufill your dreams but they can get you to the right people.... For example, I've met rockwilder, cool as sh*t, good dude, great to chill with... If he heard a track from me that was totaly UNDENIABLE do you think he would push it?? Hell naw lol lol.... BUT, he may if he get's a credit on it (like DJ LES and Wyldfyer for the track "Black Republican" - Jay-Z/Nas). Now he may get an unworthy credit for a bangin' track but I can use the credentials to get the next placement via a major label........ W/O Rockwilder... So yes, It's kinda stratigic but it works....

The industry needs more people like you, who can give their thoughts and opinions to improve on the overall craft of music without making it a d**k measuring contest....

Good day..

I think you get out of it what you put in...yea off the rip, there are fake arse peeps "everywhere"...cats that hate on you for whateva reason they have...
As far as rocbattle...its not a perfect science...show me a joint that is on the net...actually I think its one of the best things going...i'm ranked hmmm like at the time of this post...178...180 in the quarter...but last quarter I didn't rank at all...I got beat left and right...yea I won a few...and yea some battles are bogus...but the bottom line...if your beat is bangin' it won't lose...seldom does...a good beat is a good beat...a close battle well it may come up short against someone in the top ten...a recent battle with #1 had me come in with 50% of the vote but on the rating I must have lost...I know I had a better beat...he was clearing out old tracks and he said as much...I have no less respect for him (we both like tracks that are different) and no less respect for the other producers...50 % told me what I needed to know...its what I took back to my studio offline...I ask for commnets...unless your some mindless self centered metronome producer, you can get a lot out doing the same thing you probably do here..oh uh with the exception of listening to hundreds and hundreds (if you choose to do so) of producer tracks at any given time, having them critiqued and networking...personally I've gotten better...my ranking is important to me...as much as shooting a game of basketball down the street is against college and high school atheletes...its fun...I step up my game...I bring a real good game from time to time...even more enjoyable when they see that and acknowledge it...I can say a lot more...but 'll leave that for anotha post..for now I leave this: "NOT BEING ABLE TO GOVERN EVENTS, I GOVERN MYSELF." - MICHEL DE MONTAIGNE

ah yea I think I voted on a battle or two woody...some nice ish...but don't get it twisted dog. lol ;) Peace - B Mac, it is what it is.

If you are looking for exposure on the net,
try this site that just got off the ground last week.
Not as big as rocbattle by anymeans, but just another spot to throw
up your beats if you are so inclined.

www.yagaskillz.com

Peese.

For everybody saying they go to that site for exposure or to network, I get mad exposure hitting the ave handing out promo cd's. Imo internet promotions good for a while, but you should get your name out on the streets so local people know about you.

roc has actualy only battled 2 people on the site in tournements. the things on the homepage are a bit miss leading.
