Pad Problems WITH THE MAIN SCREEN!!

alright..your probably gonna think that its the pad that are dead but i dont think so because if i look for drums to load and hear it i could press a pad a it will play but the problem is..when im in the Main screen and when i press a pad you dont hear anything i check the velocity and everything but some reason it doesnt seem to work on the main screen??...i dont know if is my OS but if your wondering what OS it is, its the 3.04...i dont know whats going on but PLEASE CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME OUT!!

I´m not sure about this, but perhaps it´s related to what this man Jayla 7 said in a thread (http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=63943) he was way off in that one, but to this problem it might be applicable:

some os versions have a bug where the pad don't sound when the selected track is muted.
