hello i am a newbie....
i have tried the search function but haven't found nothing that could help me...
i need to know how to midi up my mpc 1000 with s950 as a sampler and a keyboard with only midi out.
and it would appreciated if you enlighten me on how to get bass and drums out of the s950!!!thanks alot

damnn i was messing around with the cables....
and i tryed to sample sumthing on the s950 to then resample on my mpc 1000
but the s950 FREEZED and now the rec function freezes....
is there a reset option on the s950???
PLEASE HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPTHANKSSSSSSSS

do you have the manual? if not, you should download that from akai's website.

resseting an s950 is kinda easy : switch the power OFF then ON :)

you can do the following for your set up :

master keyboard midi out ----> mpc midi in A

mpc midi out 1 ---> s950 midi in

S950 audio outputs --> mixer / soundcard
mpc1000 audio outputs --> mixer/soundcard

samples your drums and basses in the s950. make the right sample assignement to keygroup.

then hit the right pad, and there you go.

there is different way to work :

you can save the s950 programs and his samples on a floppy.


you can sample back in the mpc1000 , all your s950 samples. and then work only with the mpc.
