Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

1.Is there a way to have the MPC2000 load the OS from the zip drive?

2. I have folder on a zip disk but the MPC can't see them but can't open them. How if possible do I do this(open the folder in the mpc)?

Yes, you can load the OS from the Zip drive. You have to copy those 2 OS files to a Zip disc and it should work just fine. I load the OS from a Jaz drive, and the process is the same.

I don't think the 2k classic can see anything other than the root folder. Even though I've only had my 2K for a couple of months, I'm seriously considering picking up a 2Kxl simply based on I/O options - easy card reader installation, folders (that is HUGE to me). Organization is very important to me, and the 2K is just not good at it.

Peace,

The mpc 2000 does not recognise folders, you have to use partitions instead.

Thanks. I thibnk I'm going to trade it in for the 2000xl. What's the downside between the two other than what has been stated?
