Probably good bye for a long time...

Not quite a happy start in 2007 but I have decided to sell all my stuff including the beloved mpc3000le. The lack of time due to a healthy business (that's probably the only upside) have made me decide to quit.
Unless the mpc hasn't been sold before anything else is gone I'll out of music for a long time.
If it is the last piece in the end I'll take that as a sign and keep it next to the SL.

Hope you guys have brighter decisions to make in 2007.

How much you looking for it, if you havnt sold it already? I been looking for an MPC3000 for a while.

do you REALLY have to sell the 3000? I could see selling everything else if you need to and although I don't know your situation, I would at least try to keep that one piece...

Probably pushed the wrong button today as I can't see my reply so once again:

No, it is not that it really has to go in terms of money. That is and never has been the case. I always made music in my spare time. The last couple of years I got less and less time for music. It's the same reason why I haven't got that much on the forum anymore. Because I kept finding myself sneaking up the music room when everybody got to sleep I decided it was time to let it go. It seems I have lost control of myself. The fight inside my head to work, sleep or make music is exhausting me. So I'm actually hoping that selling everything will solve part of the problem.

Mr Sticz: The mpc hasn't been sold yet. It has a couple of reasons. I'm living in the Netherlands. Small country, and therefore not too many people making music. It takes time to find one who really is interested in an mpc and willing to spend extra cash on an "LE". I haven't priced it very cheap either. Partly because I'm attached to it and partly because it's in a more than mint condition. Also, I still haven't made pictures for it to show people the condition of the LE. Sending it to abroad countries can be very expensive, too. Anyways, you can check my stuff on www.jent.nu/tgm
A lot of it has been sold allready.
The mpc has 32 mb memory and is full spec. including a monitor and zipdrive. But as said, sending to abroad countries can be expensive and I usually prefer people checking it out at my home.

I say you keep it man. if its that sentimental to you, when it's gone, your eventually going to regret it. And seeing you live in Holland, it will be tough to get a new one. Just a suggestion, but do what you will.

I probably should keep it but I keep thinking about going upstairs while I should be working. It sure could be used as a paperweight though hahah...
No, I really don't know how I will react if someone takes it away. Allready just kept myself together demonstrating the Nordlead to the buyer.

But I'm hoping I can keep concentrating on my work and that the mpc will go to someone who has the time to get the most out of it, without bashing it to pieces. I have one person who is interested at the moment. So if he blows it off you may take it away. I do have to say I prefer people that show up on my doorstep to check it out themselves.

@SV1200: I know you're right. You won't even find many white versions of the mpc3000.
