Well, this is my first bug report. I repeated it twice just to make sure.

1st time was an accident, 2nd & 3rd were to make sure & confirm.

Do the following:

1. Power on MPC: Shows MPC 1000 OS 4.27, Goes to main screen. Mode Pad 2: Load ok.
2. Load project from hard drive folder. Loads ok.
3. Load in sequence 1 & 2 only, no more: ok. All samples load ok.
4. Mode Pad 15 to grid edit ok.
5. F1- Cursor to Track: ok, Up arrow key to tempo: ok, Right arrow to Seq: ok.
6. Turn data wheel clockwise: CRASH

It was an accident that I turned the data wheel the wrong way. But the crash should not have happened. I know there were only 2 Seq loaded but either way, it looks like a big bug to me.

This my 1st bug / crash ever with this unit. So far so good (KOW).

As they say, tihS sneppaH.

Let me know what you come up with.

ran into to this last night.. this also deleted some of my settings (autoload folder setting, klick , midi ). the strangest thing was that i had to reboot 2 times to even get the mpc to play some sound. after i adjusted all the settings to their previous state it was back to normal again.
has anyone reported this bug to JJ ?

Well, if you guys didn't..please do. I need this OS beta tested well so I can have a solid JJ OS for the MPC 2500 in a week or two. Hit up Antonym. It appears that he has a good rapport with JJ (I think...).

^^^ - Already done. I would hate for my 2500 OS to not be thoroughly beta tested. It would be a shame, wouldn't you agree?

BTW- Copped a 2500 for $1300 open box. Great deal! 8) They actually should have been priced at that point from the giddy-up.

Bug reported, and JJ replied it's verified and will be/is fixed in 4.28!
Please check, I don't have my mpc1k here.

Although it would be nice to have lower costing MPCs, $1200 is way too low considering what the MPC 2000XL costs.
