I was wondering if I upgrade to a card reader will I not be able to use my scsi hard drive and scsi zip.
I guess what I'm trying to say is will the mpc 2000xl still recognize my scsi drives as well as the card reader drives?
any help would be appreciated

If you will be installing an INTERNAL card reader then your SCSI will still work. You will basically still be able to use your External SCSI devices. Now if u DONT install in INTERNAL card reader but use and External SCSI one then you will have to run a SCSI chain in order to use more than one machine at a time. I highly recommend u go the internal route.

Internal on 2kxl is ATAPI.
External is SCSI.

Yes they can be used at the same time like Nicole said.

2KXL mainboard has an internal and external SCSI port.

2KXL mainboard also has an internal ATAPI port.

The 2KXL is capable of communicating with devices connected to the internal and external ports.

EG 1:

CARRY MCD drive on internal ATAPI port, IOMEGA ZIP on external SCSI port.

EG 2:

MICROTECH PCD-47B on internal SCSI port, IOMEGA ZIP on external SCSI port.

There are many other examples too but these above two are enough.
