JJ answer about the vvolume of the track says, is it just working from 0 to 127. 127- 200 -- is purely inefficient.

so i think after my mail, jj has thinking to switch volume to velocity, and make it better (100 % = 127, 0% == 0).

i find the new look nice and more clear.

what do you both mean? hasn't the main window shown track levels as 'velocity' not 'volume' for ages? actually thats been an assumption on my part.

i'd prefer a track volume control instead (and dedicated 'track' / 'program mixer' pages -pleazz JJ!) , i often use velocity values as extra control data for many sounds , eg: for a specific samples' pitch or filter setting etc, so messing with the velocity (rather than volume) of a whole track seems pointless (sometimes) to me.

the mpc use to show V%. wich stand for Velocity. and your right about it.

maybe it is due to our french usage of the word velocity and volume. but a velocity can be applied only if something is hitted. velocity is based on speed.
Volume is based on space (wich describe well how sounds work) so we used to talk about volume when it was about tracks. and velocity when it was about pads.

i agree with you on your last comment.

a track/mixer page would be better. and put the word VOLUME on each track.

velocity remains for pads hitting / programmed events.

things would be more clear (even if it is actually not really a problem)

midi control of track volume would be nice too, but since the sampler isn't really multi timbral it's probably would be too complicated to add.
it would be dope to control track volume with cc's from a midi controller though.

maybe if you could control tracks 1-16 with cc's 50 - 66 from midi 1a, control tracks 17 - 32 from 2a... i dunno, would be a bit tricky to set up without a flexible midi controller, but it would be cool.

What can you do with this simult sequence feature? i dont get it....

as far as i know, velocity and volume have the same meaning in french and english...
