Hey guys.
I sampled some arpeggio'd notes from my mini korg before I left the house. So I'm on a desert island trying to throw those into the mix, just for measure while practicing some other functions along with the manual. The samples are just half a measure long stereo waw-files. There's nothing unordinary to them other than that it's a 32 bit sample - I have considerably less elaborate equipment that can handle the data and convert it to its liking locally!:

Ok so I had a lot of drums sounds going here. But even when I scaled them down to just kick, snare, hi-hat, claves the mini korg sample wouldn't play through!! It starts playing then just stops. I don't see any pattern to this happening. It does start messing things up
The MPC 500 has up to 32 voices of polyphony (depending on processing).
So I tried at the hotel (wall outlet - thinking battery power might affect "processing" (whatever t f that's supposed to mean anyway) and as soon as I use more than four or so drum samples in a programmed rhythm (not even simultaneously - as in polyphony) .
I am not using a lot of effects (other than what's on the master as default)
I have not hidden any mutes from one pad to the other in the program pad setup - haven't even gotten to that part on the 500 yet.
I uploaded one of the weird samples here, feel free to give it a go with your own drum programs. I used it mainly with note on programming, nothing fancy but you will also hear from this example that I really can't dabble with mono samples for this stuff, if that could prove to be an issue besides the obvious lack of proper sample formating.

You will notice how playing it from the mpc 500 without anything else isn't gonna be a problem. But just try triggin this on top of a drum program. See if it even plays through once. Do I really need to format the samples going into the mpc500 into 16 bit linears? Oh, btw it hasn't been a problem for my other drum sounds that are of similar data format.
