Clipping When Tracking

When I track my beats using the mix outs, m kicks and snares will clip like crazy...Is this normal? Or before I track do I need to turn them down? Or do I need to mess with my sound card settings?

Your samples shouldn't be clipping, try making sure the mpc level output isn't to high, and that your not driving too much input into whatever your using to track with. Were the samples clipped when you recorded them into your mpc?
