Just wondering if any users are planning on taking the 2500 to the stage?
I've spent the last 2 years on a studio album (now finished) using a pc set up running Cubase SX. Results can be heard via: http://www.myspace.com/defiantkinetics
When I was writing this material I never really wanted to do it live, and certainly couldn't do it using just Cubase on its own.
This has all changed thanks to the 2500. Only had it for about 5 months but last night really fell in love with it. There has been a lot of pissed off people regarding the OS issues but hopefully it can only get better.
I know it has issues, but lets try and embrace what the mpc is about.
I defiantly prefer working with it to a software seq. I love the way you can make your music so much more you and human like (thanks to the pad input). I'd love to turn up to a gig with it, and not a laptop. Anyone who does a solo live show just seems to have a laptop with ableton live + some rip off mpc like trigger pad (or the mpd). It's a great piece of software don't get me wrong, but everyone just seems to use that and not consider alternatives. All the better for us. I'm loving hardware now (especially the 8 mix outs), just got to practice I guess. Hopefully will be able to pull of a successful live show in the future. Anyone else planning or used the unit live?
