Stereo or Mono programs?????

I know this may sound foolish but I was wondering if there was easy way to find out if a program is a stereo one or a mono one? Reason I ask is that when I am assigning/transfering tracks from my 4k to my multi-track recorder I'd like to know if I will need 1 or 2 record tracks. It's hard to tell if a sound is panned if it's mono or stereo.

i think that all programs default in stereo, but samples can be mono or stereo.

for instance, i sample IN ANALOG MONO L but when i assign it to a PAD for a PROGRAM it's spread between both speakers and i have to assign the panning how i want.

i dunno, i never messed with trying to make a MONO PROGRAM.

you can always bounce after the 2 track though!
