I could see why guy gets no respect here. Just for using quantize and noterepeat alone. Its basically a imatation heatmakers video, and heatmakers are considered garbage by most here. I don't think guy should hang himself, he should just improve and get his own style. Why you ask , is that you in the video?

Personally i think everyone been a bit too harsh and i wish i coulda kept my mouth shut.
However peeps give honest feedback and thats good cause most of us on here to learn from those w more experience and knowledge.
I'm not very good at constructive critique but here goes:
I didn't like the sample; having that vocal over and over=anoying.
The drums are very robotic turn quant and full level off for at least part of drums.
It had no funk or bass
part that made me sick though was the bang on the one of every bar.

We all heard of the on the one theory but this aint it.

Naw Juxt, that ain't me at all playa. I just wanna hear from some of ya'll samplers on hear why you ya'll thought that beat was the absolute worst thing you ever heard. And I'm telling ya'll you ain't heard nothin until you heard Hot Traxx that used to be on FP. I don't sample much at all so I was just wondering what was so horrendously wrong with that beat.

I just don't have an ear for that kind of stuff. I know what I like and rest assured what that cat made I wasn't feeling at all. But then again I ain't really feelin what was posted right above me either and to my ears that was almost just as bad. It's 2007, not 1992 with those filtered basslines and watered down drums. But some cats were big-upping that too so I guess I'm lost??

1992 is boom bap era. most hip hop of that era has agressive very hard hitting drums and bass. for the most part 2007 has a toy drum, cheap, weak, unauthentic sound to it.

http://malefactor.org/beatmakingvideos/ check the video flekzz.avi, u'll see this beat is not that bad....actually i wonder if all of u got to the end of the video, where the recorded beat plays, the drum sounds doesn't sound that weak...and about the repeating sample, kanye does the same, sometimes in more annoying way and it's still cool...
