2007 Akai/JJ Improvement Suggestions

loading samples TO PAD should be ASSIGNABLE like the 2000xl.
for me its really annoying cause pad 1 doesnt work.

reverse function

I imagine that real time sample reverse would be tricky

however

what about midi/drum reverse ??

perhaps Shift+TapTempo+Play button combo

i would like to see a full midi implementation of the sampling engine in the mpc1K.

i would like to see ADSR envellope instead of just AD.

extension to 300 000 events in the sequencer. even if it has to be taken from the main memory.

do you really think this is a bug? i figured it would happen more occasionally if it was

- split/demix by midi channel that creates new tracks after a recording, with each track only having the notes of the channel they were sent through.

- re-implement the audio tracks as a new track type -- like drum/midi. i feel it currently is inconsistent with the track logic to have the last 8 tracks as audio tracks

Im puttin this idea out there again.... Very Simple.. uses Unused buttons:

MAIN -> MODE -> TRIM -> CHOP

i suggest [ERASE button] will move (SLICE_x+1) (one to the right)
and [NUMERIC button] move (SLICE_x-1) (one to the left)


and im feelin these ideas too ..among many others.

The akai S-20 does this. As you hold down a sample 'pad' - press 'reverse' and the sample plays backwards until you release it. you can do this over midi as well.

a small synthesizer or s900 emulator would make my day.

Reverse would be a great function for both audio and midi

these two seems really feasable and would be so usefull (and would save stress on the jog wheel). if you don't mind, send a request to JJ.

what about a polphony counter? sqeezed in the corner? as option?
