Memory recovery

I appreciate this is a bit of a long shot, but I accidentally overwrote my autoload folder and a sub-folder that was within that- would there be any way to recover that information? I know people say that with computers data is never completely deleted...

That works on hard disks, but not in this instance.

...well, maybe you could install the hard disk in a PC and then run the appropriate software to recover lost files.
