just wondering if there is a easier way to monitor the level of kicks, snares, against eachother during mixdown besides muting all tracks but those two?? Just seems like maybe there is a way that I could solo more then one instrument...."although that would totally defeat the meaning of solo=)" thanks for the help once again everybody. Glance

when i put together a beat i usually record the bass drum and snare to the same track. cuz im playing it at the same time u know? maybe even the high hat too if im feeling 3 fingered

when you do it like that u can solo just that one track. it's not why i do it that way but it is handy

Yeah, good idea...you can bounce the two tracks into 1, or a third track used just for soloing. You just loose the ability to mix those tracks, unless you edit the Program and change the level of those individual sounds.

I always assign my drums to different output. That way I can monitor them on my mixer. I find that it is the most convinient way of doing it.

I monitor the volume levels via PC Multitrack program.
