Can someone answer these simple questions ?

First of all, sorry for being such a dickhead, like dissing the MPC cause Its my fault that I cant use it yet, but lets get to the questions:

1. How I get smooth time/pitch scretch ?. Like Kanye west style. If I do want to change the tempo etc.. If the sample is like 60-70, i want to change it to 90 without not having the time scretch effect that turns the sample into shit?

2. How can I adjust that all the pads make same velocity? I hate when I record my performance, some sounds sound harder, is there like volyme section somewhere ?

I can't answer your first question because I've not had a play around with shifting tempos & shit yet (only had the mpc 3 days).

Regards question 2 just hit the Full Level button to lock the velocity of the pads.

Yea but there are 2 things, pitch and timescretch, If i change tempo with TS it will change the sample to shit, and if i use the pitch the tempo wont change. omg.

Well, first of all I suggest you 2 read the manual, some of your question like the volume one are really basic.
2 Strecht your sample and make it longer or smaller you have several tricks (apart from classic timetreching if it´s below 15% as Lampog said). The most common one is to chop it in very small peaces (there are some kind of video in youtube where Pete Rock shows his mpc2000xl and show how 2 do it). It´s very similar to what the patch phrase does but if you do it manualy you will have better results. The faster way is to put the sample in a program like Live or Acid which have really good algorithms for timetreching, export it 2 audio and use it....

I cant see why they didnt put simple thing like tempo changer into this, they juts put useless things like pitch/time scretch change. I have no programs to do it. If I can´t do it with this machine im very dissapointed.
I didn´t quite understand you saying about the pete rock thing. Ive seen the video (if its Future Music), and I dont see the connection with patched phrase. I want to change just the tempo, like normally it would do, go to the chipmunk thing. I got that full level thing, thanks. Only thing now I need is a pitch thing.

Yeah It´s that future music video. There´s a part where he says he cut the loop in very small pieces so he can put the speed up or down the beat. What phatch phrase does id cut the sampler in different zones and extrac the midi information of those cuts... then it will play those pieces according 2 the midi information, really simple.....I dont speak very good english so it´s a little difficult for me 2 explain... read the manual

I can see the people who use turntables doing this, cause they can just select the speed from the turntable. Im using normal CD:s. I need this thing, if there is anyone to help me with this thing please help!

OMG, I just found out that you can set the chipmunk style in [MODE] + [PROGRAM], there is the Tune setter. But problem I have now, that it only affects by semitones, and when I have checked the tempo with detect tempo, it will go out of the tempo. ok, but can I make sample from the tuned sample? This is tricky, but we are progressing all the time.

Maybe internally sample your main output as wave.

Its almost a perfect machine to me, only thing now I need the chipmunk thing. That would be all to me. Btw. Is it better to equal the slices or make slices with pitched phrase? Like i guess equalisation has that cool rawness. I use automatic pitch to get the sample start and end points, but what about the slices?
