so will the 3.11 upgrade be essential or just a great option?, also this is the mpc that has made plenty of classics(actually) speaking it being held at one of the industry's famous studio where hiphop greats had recorded there im not telling the name because i know how people can get down on a deal like this lol

That's not too bad cause the 3.10 OS & Marion SCSI is gonna cost $445. So for $845 your set. I just found a flawless MPC60 MK2 with OS 3.10 & Marion SCSI Interface & SCSI Cable & Zip Drive & rolling stand for $700.

those are some deals!! i paid 8 for a mk2 w/ 3.10 and full mem. she's got a few minor dings/scratches/ but overall good condition. i know i coulda found a better deal but i had the cash and went for this deal cuz it was local and dude was actually doin' music thangs in SD. i researched mpcs, particularly the 3k and the 60, for a while before i finally had some cake to buy one. it was worth it was no matter how good a deal you find now. i might consider trading it for another cleaner 60 or 3000 + cash but just get in where you fit in and cop that s Hit!

$400 is a steal of a price. does it have full memory (26.2 secs)? the problem is you're so much better off getting a unit with all that stuff already in it (bare minimum 3.10 OS and max mem). IMO SCSI is nice but not worth $300.

714-- that was a nice pick up! $700 full blown 60 AND the rolling stand! 8)

you can do without the scsi, but the os + ram upgrade is essential.

essential isnt the word, VERY USEFUL...I still go with the older OS. works fine with me, man. no harm intended

Yo I got my MPC 60 mk2 on the cheap too! No scsi only ram upgrade. I put a new lcd screen on it and bought a bunch of floppies, bam! I use my MPC2k classic to midi sounds over and the 60 internal floppy drive. You dont NEED scsi but its faster and way more efficient. Just rock it till you get good on it. Learn the 60 backwards and forwards then get the upgrade homie.
