yep good idea, try to see what the official response is first...
nym what you think? do you reckon you have a potential draft of an email that breaks down the issue, the history, the fix, and the interest in a 'fair outcome?'
what i mean by that is if akai recognised the logical approach of nyms detective work and the feeling in this forum, then said yep we are producing an official velostat pad fix kit it will retail at $29.99, won't invalidate your warranty and we will post a vid or pdf that shows how it is applied then i would be down, as im sure others would too.
i have no idea if this would ever happen, or if i am being hopelessly naive (jj and justin the reaper developer have set the bar too high i guess) but i try to have faith...
