Harddrives & CF Cards?

I just have a couple of questions regarding the storage medium for the MPC2500

Firstly in the not to distant future I'm planning on getting one of the Hitachi 80gb harddrives but I'm unsure if I need to buy a harddrive adapter kit or not (I have a feeling that it included in the 2500)?

Secondly regarding compact flash cards, is my understanding the a 2gb card is the maximum size it can handle? Also are the any particular cards/brands which are recommeneded or should be avoided.

You dont need the adapter,it is already in your mpc.
As for the flash crads,yes 2GB is the maximum it can hadle.

however if you buy an ipod mini microdrive and remove the molex it will fit in your CF slot of the mpc n read upto 4gig

Yeahh.. I've got my Travelstar 80GB now I'm thinking I was wrong... I don't really need so big HDD I've downloaded all my samples onto that ...so that was 20 GB... and now I've got 60-55 GB left... do i need them even you can use a USB connnecting...so ...


So I recon 40 gig is quite anought...

Does the hard drive adaptor come in MPC's manufactured before August 2006? Or is this a new offer?

the hdm-10 harddrive adapter is a stock option for the 2500 from the beginning of production...
the blue 1000 didn´t include it, and i believe it is a stock option in the black 1000s.

^Yeah, the hdm-10 thingy is inside the 2500. And it's not a stupid question, I made the mistake of buying the hdm kit...
