Used MPC 2000xl...what should I check 4?

Wussup! I have a seller in the area that wants to sell his 2000xl (16mb ram) for $700. I think it's a good deal but I just wanted to know what I need to check for when I test it out? Are there certain tests that I can put the XL through? Also, do you think it's a good price?

One final thing...the unit is 2 years old. He's upgraded to a 4000 model.

Turning it on. Missing pads. Busted fader. Download the manual and when you get the machine run through some functions and see if all is gravy.

Check the sample time functions to make sure there is 16mb in there like he says or you cna open it up and see the sticks. Do both. Check the audio outs to make sure they are not static(y)? Press EVERY PAD and button to see if any buttons don't click properly when pressed. Check every light when you turn it on cause they should all light up briefly.

Stuff like that.
