1. Select a DRUM program
2. Go to GRID mode, turn on "OverDub"
3. Enter a pad event (hit some pads)
4. Select one event ("Tap tempo" + Wheel right, wheel left)
5. Press "Copy"
6. Move wheel to a time (for example: 001.1.80)
7. Press Shift + Paste
8. Pad event is pasted to 001.1.81
(BUG! - pastes too late)

1. Select a MIDI program
2. Go to GRID mode, turn T.C. on (1/32), turn on "OverDub"
3. Enter a note (hit some pads)
4. Select one note ("Tap tempo" + Wheel right, wheel left)
5. Press "Copy"
6. Move wheel to a time (for example: 001.1.80)
7. Press Shift + Paste
8. Event is pasted to 001.1.74
(BUG! - pastes too early)

1. Select a MIDI program
2. go to GRID mode, turn on "OverDub"
3. turn T.C. mode off
4. Enter a note (hit some pads)
5. select notes, "Copy" selection
6. turn wheel to different time (for example 001.01.80)
7. Paste notes
8. Nothing happens! Clipboard is empty!
(if you "Copy" when T.C. is on, turn T.C. off, and "Paste", paste works,
so I guess "Copy" does not work with T.C. off)

Another one:
Holding Shift + "Paste" + turn wheel = deletes notes! (like holding "Delete" in basic Grid screen) (in MIDI and in DRUM tracks) BUG!

And a suggestion: copying single events in GRID mode is tedious - you have to press "Tap tempo", turn wheel right (to get the "Copy" option to appear in the screen), and turn it left again to select just one unit of the grid resolution... I think the "Copy" option should come on as soon as you click "Tap tempo".

awesome. please report these immediately, grid has been buggy but still useable lately.

esk mentioned one briefly, as well, that i have been experiencing.

the easiest way to put it is a graphics bug (not function bug) in 16 pad grid edit. the cursor still appears the way it did on 6 pad grid edit and there are some other visual issues. i don't know how to reproduce it but i mentioned it to jj and company as best as i could.

Seems all but the last one (shift+paste= delete) were corrected! Nice JJ ;)

I found another one though:

When you are in Grid mode, you cannot select T.C. = OFF (via Tap Tempo + turn Wheel, press F2). If you selected it in the main screen, the T.C. screen in Grid mode shows a blank instead of "OFF"!

deranger - the more grid bugs we find the better, i for one am a grid addict. i record everything from within the grid.

here's something i've wanted for ages - as of right now, your ZOOM is linked to the time correct setting. ie, if you're in 1/8 TC, you are zoomed as far out as you can be. when you set it to 1/16, it's zoomed in closer. and so on.

what i want sooo badly is a way to make it so that you can have TC off completely while viewing the grid in what would otherwise be 1/8th resolution - do you follow me? this would give you the whole TC off swing thing for really flexible, nonquantized drums without taking away from the visual aspect you get with grid edit. great for drum programming.

Yeah, that would be nice - but it depends on how JJ implemented the grid mode - how he has tied display resolution to TC...

you can already record with TC off, and then view stuff in a 16th grid.

But it seems that the cursor movement and screen resolution is tied to TC - if you view a 16th grid, how can you grid-record with TC-off? I mean how would you place the cursor at a non 16th position? and how would the display graphically show TC-free movement with the data wheel (unless looking at the numeric time display is enough for you).

I think the only "easy" way to record with TC off in a 16th grid would be to record in "real time", as the sequencer runs.

IMHO the GRID is getting cluttered there is to much C>R>A>P on that screen its called GRID EDIT so lets keep it for editing F>U>C>K all the other crap on the screen

yo sorry but i disagree completely, the more control the better...unless it's difficult to navigate, i say we can't be afraid of more info...

Hot damn! JJ's quick! He already fixed the other bugs I've reported (FX1->FX2 off not working and SHIFT+PASTE + WHEEL = DELETE)! Me like.

dude you agreed a few days/weeks ago !!!

the nature of GRID is for editing, JJ has not structured certain key funtions in a good order like the copy paste aspects is crap and no surface level key funtions of the empty F keys ( unless this was updated )

Also the PGM display on top why ? we could be seeing valuable note/midi data there instead , all along the top

BPM info why ? we have it in main

Nobody can deny the simplicity of STEP EDIT, its nice and clean and only for EDITING and we can see all the relevant note data nice and clearly

oh yeah, i forgot that's what you were talking about.

BPM info why ? we have it in main

agreed.

agreed.

i thought you wanted it more "clean" like less info on there. i agree that better info could be on there instead.

yeah i like it fine but what irks me is only being able to see 4 items at one time. i put al my drums into 1 track. that's upwards of 16 pads being used a LOT, with tons of qlink data going on for individual pads and track pads.

it would take me like 5 minutes to scroll through 1 drum track in step edit unless i had it set to show only x pad or x qlink.

but no now that we're on the same page i'm feelin you cyklops.
