hlp with the sound of samples

i'm sampling some records and my friend showed me how to use that sample and assign it to a different pad but it sounding differently in each pad really quick, it was really cool when sampling keys. If any one knows what I'm talking about please help me out on what to do.

maybe you mean the 16 level function? (look for the key called like that)
