I'm buying a MPC as a Sequencer, so I've been on this forum to review some comments and learn... so I would like to share something with everyone.
The best drum sounds ever are coming out of one machine today.
The brand new, Jomox Xbase. 999.
4 Analogue Drums (Base, Snare, 2 Toms) and 5 x 32 12 bit samples, user loadable. Made in Germany. It's sick. Analogue filters that work in beat, 2 LFO. Will transform your sound into something entirely new. Filter routing, tune, decay, snap, cut-off, reso, attack, harmonics, pulse, detune, noise, eq, compression (all analogue). The base sound is out of this world. Hand built, wood panels. 16 knobs, track mute, track volume, 64 banks, 4 scales, program each step (up to 32 steps), performance mode, pattern mode, song mode. real time write, shuffle... and more.
There is nothing like it. If you want the best, beefy fat, heavy tweekable drums sounds... One that blows doors on the 909 and 808. (you can get those sounds plus 50x more) It's just amazing.
Run don't walk, get your name on the list (hard to get) and save about $1800... I've had mine since it came out, pre-ordered 3 months before it came out.
